Since her debut album, Melissa Etheridge has had an incredible career. Her first album, Melissa Etheridge, became certified double platinum and since then she has had many other accomplishments. She has released 13 studio albums, five of which went platinum and three went multi-platinum; 43 singles; produced 48 music videos; won two GRAMMYs, one for Best Female Rock Vocal and the other for Best Rock Vocal Performance for “Ain’t It Heavy”; won an Oscar for Best Original Song; and spent more than two and a half years on the album chart. Etheridge hit her commercial and artistic stride with her fourth album, Yes I Am, featuring the massive hits “I’m the Only One” and “Come to My Window,” a searing song of longing that brought her the second GRAMMY. Her last release, MEmphis Rock & Soul, debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Blues Chart.
